Exposed concrete is a specific interior design feature. Exposed concrete had a great deal of popularity in Brutalist Architecture of the 1950s-60s. The trend died out but concrete architecture has come back in a great way and with a big difference in the 21st Century. Concrete architecture of the 20th century was very rough and raw but today it has a more elegant property in many ways.
